Moving to Kerrville!!!

The Church of Christ in Rocksprings has been such a wonderful church to my family and I. It has grown closer to God and each other over the last five years. Our boys have grown here and we have made relationships that will last a lifetime.

In this church it feels more like a family than a church. Today my family and I are moving to Kerrville, Tx. Tess will be graduating from Schreiner University with a degree in Accounting and Information Systems in December. She will be working starting in January as Kerr County Assistant Aditor. We are so busy packing and loading right now. I just can't wait until we get everything unloaded, set up and setttled into our new house. I will be preaching in Rocksprings until December. If you know of any churches in the Hill Country that are hiring any ministers or associate ministers I would be interested.

I want to thank everyone for their continued prayers as we make this transition in our life. All of you readers have been such a blessing to me. You make blogging worthwhile. So, I may be out of pocket until I get settled in but want everyone to know that I have not and will not stop blogging. God bless each and every one of you.

Wow, big move!

May God go powerfully before you. May you see the opportunities to enter His Kingdom work that has been waiting for you to arrive. And may your family find peace in the midst of the craziness of travel, moving, and packing.

Kenny,
I am praying for you and your family. Thanks for the words of encouragement that you have been leaving on my blog. I haven't been blogging this week due to it being a very difficult week. I am realizing the meaning behind the phrase, 'death by ministry.' But I know that God is totally sovereign over every aspect of life, and that keeps me going. On the day of my ordination, my wife's grandfather, a minister for over 50 years, told me that if I could do anything else, I had better do it. I now understand what he meant, but I do have a call on my life, and am absolutely sure that I cannot be doing anything else. If I could, I would definitely do it, because people can be very cruel and self-righteous. I must remember that they deserve the grace of God just as much I do.

My mom is doing a little bit better, but now they think it has something to do with her pancreas. So thanks for your prayers, and know that I am praying for you during this time of transition.

The great thing about moving is you can take us bloggers with you.

You have been making an impact on us and giving us great, thought provoking questions to challenge the understanding of our faith.

I think you should use this blog in a creative way with a resume.
